Announcing Janet Hanson’s Pending Retirement

Over the last 12 years, Janet Hanson has played a mission-critical role in supporting the work of the Tuition Exchange, overseeing member services during a period of significant growth as the number of participating institutions increased to more than 700 institutions in 10 countries.  She has faithfully guided the development of the Tuition Exchange computer systems – including the new administrative system due to launch this summer -- and spearheaded the training of hundreds of Tuition Exchange Liaison Officers.  After 45 years of outstanding work as a Financial Aid Director, as a Tuition Exchange Liaison Officer (at two institutions), and as Director of Communications at the Tuition Exchange, Janet will be stepping down from her full-time role to pursue other interests.  She will continue to assist the Tuition Exchange on an ad hoc basis as a consultant after she officially retires from her current role. Bob Shorb, Executive Director Emeritus of the Tuition Exchange, underscored the importance of Janet’s contributions. “Having worked closely with Janet for years, I can personally attest to the impact she has had on this organization. The strength of the Tuition Exchange today is in no small measure due to her commitment to providing institutions with world-class service and support.”

Please join us in celebrating Janet and wishing her well as she plans for her next adventure!
