Tuition Exchange: Answering questions and providing solutions

Join your TE Central moderator, Janet, as she shares information about Tuition Exchange, introduces you to the TE Central staff, provides tips and pointers for setting up your TE program, details membership responsibilities, and provides a quick overview of the Tuition Exchange website. It will be 22 minutes well spent!

We recognize that students today are looking for a broad range of choices.  At the Tuition Exchange, we have a school for everyone. Tuition Exchange, Inc. is an established and internationally recognized student exchange program working since 1954 with more than 700 regional, national, and international higher education institutions.  The Tuition Exchange staff has a combined knowledge level of more than 80 years of experience as higher education professionals.

Tuition Exchange allows our members to create and manage their programs.  Member schools can craft program guidelines that fit each employee population.  Our membership roster includes undergraduate, graduate, and unique regionally and nationally accredited programs offering options not found in other exchange programs.

Tuition Exchange has just a couple of rules that apply to all members.  The first rule is that member schools must provide full tuition or the annual set rate, whichever is less.  The TE set rate is 2022-2023 is $40,000, $41,000 for 2023-2024, and $42,000 for 2024-2025.  Membership includes publicly funded schools.  Public school members must provide a full-tuition award to in-state Tuition Exchange recipients or the out-of-state Tuition Exchange scholar with ½ tuition based on the out-of-state tuition rate. Our second rule is to import a minimum of three new students annually.  Member schools are expected to offer and enroll a number equal to or close to the number of exported students.  You set your goal for exports and imports.  Tuition Exchange does not!  Each school names its Tuition Exchange Liaison Officer, who is ultimately responsible for managing your campus TE Program.

Tuition Exchange works best when Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, and Human Resources work together.  Each office is responsible in its way for enrollment.  When these offices work in concert, our schools and most importantly your employees are delighted with their jobs and working environment.

Our Membership Services division provides a wealth of educational opportunities, examples to help schools start on the right foot and ongoing monthly webinars focused on our Tuition Exchange Liaison Officers' questions and needs.

Our website is robust, organic, and a great source of information for families interested in Tuition Exchange, member schools seeking suggestions and solutions, or potential member schools looking for more details.  Please visit us at www.TuitionExchange.org.   A list of our current members is available under the Families tab.  Inside our Potential Membership tab is a podcast webinarTuition Exchange - Answering Questions and Providing Solutions, designed to answer any possible questions, and the booklet titled – Tuition Exchange Answering Questions and Providing Solutions.   You will find these tools beneficial in determining why Tuition Exchange is the best choice for your school and employees.
